Teenage Haze is the second full-length album from Glasgow’s Departures.

Since forming in 2007 this melodic-hardcore 5-piece have released a split CD, 7" vinyl and their debut album, When Losing Everything Is Everything You Wanted. It promoted a unique brand of passionate modern hardcore, merging strong melodic guitar riffs and emotional lyrics with the songs subject matter, as they set about marking their intentions on the British hardcore scene.

The rewards came in the form of tours and shows alongside the likes of Touché Amoré, Pianos Become The Teeth, Seahaven, Azriel, Heart In Hand and Balance & Composure. They’ve also graced the stage at Crash Doubt Fest and Ghostfest.

2012 began with Departures releasing a new 7", Green Turns To Red, Then Turns To Gold, joining SGR Management (Feed The Rhino, Heart In Hand, TRC) and signing with No Sleep Records for North America and In At The Deep End Records (Architects, Gallows, Sylosis, Feed The Rhino) everywhere else, for the release of their 2nd full-length, Teenage Haze.

Teenage Haze is the sound of growing up.
It is a hardcore album written by a band that doesn’t listen solely to hardcore.

Its sound is placed somewhere between modern hardcore and 90’s emo.

With its release Departures endeavour to appeal to a wider audience while retaining their existing fan base.
